Hello! Welcome to American Sign Language where the language is "spoken" visually!
Fun Tidbits about me:
I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in Elementary Education. During my senior year at MSU, the opportunity was presented to me to teach one American Sign Language (ASL) class and I decided to give it a try!
Now, I am entering my 9th year of teaching ASL and 8 years at Tri-City United High School (formerly Montgomery-Lonsdale High School) I can tell you I am glad that I took the big leap from working with elementary students to high school students because I am able to educate and empower them about the richness of ASL and deaf culture.
My husband and 3 of our kids (Easton 5 yrs, Peyton 3 years, Britton 11 months old) made an exciting move last December to Lonsdale along with our fur baby, Reese.
We enjoy many nature activities such as camping, 4-wheeling, swimming, and being involved with our community through our children's after school activities.
** Please feel free to contact me anytime you wish:
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org (due to my deafness, by e-mailing me would be the preferred method of communication with any concerns you have about your child). If you can't, please call me and I will call you back soon as possible.
Classroom: B110. You are welcome to come and visit. I would be more than happy to communicate back forth with you through the LCD projector and laptop. Please stop by anytime you wish! :-)
