Boys Basketball: Practice @ TCU LC MS Gym, 3:30 - 5:20 p.m.

 

Girls Basketball: Games vs. Belle Plaine @ TCU LC Elem Gym, 7th Grade at 4:15 p.m., 8th Grade at 5:15 p.m.

General Announcements:

 

Steven Strong T-Shirt Orders: Steven Odenthal, a 7th grader at Holy Redeemer School in Montgomery, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. If you are interested in purchasing a T-Shirt (proceeds will go towards Steven’s Medical Costs), order instructions can be picked up at Patti’s desk.  You can find out more about Steven by visiting https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/stevenodenthal.

 

Grab n Go forms and payment are due before or by January 31st. in order to receive Grab n Go snacks on February 1st.   Thank you!

 

Junior High Robotics Club: Remember we leave from the high school on January 20th at 5:50am for our scrimmage at Austin high school, don't forget to bring your lunch or bring money to purchase food from their concession stand.

 

The TCU Clay Target Club will have an informational meeting for parents and athletes on Monday, January 22nd at 6:30pm in the TCU High School Choir room.  Athletic letters / pins will be handed out to those who earned them for their achievements during the 2017 season at this meeting.  Coaches will be on site to answer any questions.

 

February is “I Love to Read” Month.  Our theme this year is “Read for the Gold,” inspired by the Olympics which are also taking place this February.  The celebration will begin on Monday, January 29th with each classroom setting a reading goal.  Each Thursday during the celebration, Students will meet with their “buddies” to read together for 15 minutes.  Students are invited to wear a specific grade level colored shirt for the closing ceremony on March 2nd.

Learn CPR, how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and How to Help a Choking Victim! Classes are being offered from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Le Center Volunteer Ambulance Hall in Le Center.  Choose which day to attend: January 22nd, or 24th.  Cost is $15 per person and covers the cost of a CPR mask, card & Certificate of Completion.

Snow Week Talent Show Forms for grades 5-8 are available outside the office in the flyer display rack.  The talent show will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 and forms are due back on January 26th.  Any questions should be directed to Mr. Hollom.

Registration is required at least a week ahead unless otherwise stated and space may be limited.

Tri-City United Soccer

TCU Soccer registration is now open! Registration this year is online only. If you need computer access - we will have two registration open houses. These open houses are for those who have no computer access at home.

Saturday, Jan. 20, 9 - 11 a.m.

Monday, Jan. 22, 6 - 7:30 p.m.

Join the High School Dance Team as they put on their Dance Extravaganza!  Students will learn 2 dances and perform at the show!  Deadline to sign up and get a t-shirt is this Friday Jan 5th.
