Hello! Welcome to American Sign Language where the language is "spoken" visually!

Fun Tidbits about me:
  • I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a degree in Elementary Education.  Upon my school completion, I was able to grab the opportunity of life time to teach American Sign Language.  I decided to give it a try and I am still loving it!

  • Now, I am entering my 10th year of teaching ASL at Tri-City United High School (formerly Montgomery-Lonsdale High School) I can tell you I am so fortunate to teach our high school students about ASL to empower them to gain more cultural awareness and apply in the community setting.  I also currently teach at Minnesota State University Mankato during Fall and Spring semester doing the same thing I love to do.

  • My husband and 3 of our kids (Easton 8 yrs, Peyton 6 years, Britton 3 years) currently reside in Lonsdale. We enjoy many nature activities such as camping, 4-wheeling, swimming, and being involved with our community through our children's after school activities.

Let's show our Titan Pride! Go Titans!!

** Please feel free to contact me anytime you wish:

Email: ksween@tcu2905.us (due to my deafness, by e-mailing me would be the preferred method of communication with any concerns you have about your child).  If you can't, please call me and I will call you back soon as possible.

Classroom: B110. You are welcome to come and visit. I would be more than happy to communicate back forth with you through the LCD projector and laptop.  Please stop by anytime you wish! :-)

Google Classroom:  We will use Google Classroom to upload our assignments, videos, and other ASL related work such as blended in learning days.  There is a code given out to your child to enter in their assigned ASL section.  If you are interested in knowing what your child is doing, please contact me.  I will be more than happy to help you get in Google Classroom as well.
