Earlier this week, the TCU School District revisited the local Tier 1 Critical Worker determination as it relates to child care. Per the State of MN, School-age care for children of critical workers is intended for extreme circumstances in which no parent or guardian is at home, due to employment as a critical worker. This will be available for students in grades K-6 on hybrid/distance learning days during school hours only. Before and/or after school hours will be charged accordingly. Preschool-age care is not free per the State of MN. Depending on availability, space may be limited. To better serve our families during a Hybrid Learning model, click here to view the new TCU Tier 1 Critical Worker household guideline.

Community Education is operated by Tri-City United ISD 2905 and is utilizing acceptable health & safety practices to protect you the public as well as our workers and volunteers. To this extent, we will be following the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and local health department guidelines with regard to social distancing practices in order to reduce the spread of Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. This will require our staff and volunteers to maintain six (6) feet of distance between ourselves and you, the student, as much as possible. We will also be requiring this same procedure for student-to-student contact in order to limit the exposure to all individuals.
We will require all individuals (staff, volunteers, and students) to utilize either surgical masks or improvised masks such as scarves, bandanas, and handkerchiefs to reduce the risk of exposure to yourself and others. It is also required of everyone to either wash or sanitize their hands after using the restroom, sneezing, coughing, etc.

Reminder: If school is dismissed early or canceled, all evening Community Education activities are also canceled.
