From the Health Office:
Governor Tim Walz announced the launch of “Kids Deserve a Shot,” a vaccine incentive program encouraging Minnesotans 12-17-years-old to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The program consists of two sets of rewards: a $200 Visa gift card for 12-17-year-olds who start and complete their vaccine series over the next six weeks, and five drawings of $100,000 Minnesota college scholarships for any Minnesotan 12-17 years old with a complete vaccine series.  How Minnesotans can get a free COVID-19 test:
Order a test through the state’s no-cost at-home COVID-19 testing program.
  • Find a testing option, including through local providers, pharmacies and clinics, near you through the state’s Find Testing Locations map.
  • Walk-in or schedule an appointment for a test at one of the state’s no-cost community testing sites across Minnesota.
  • How Minnesotans can get their free shot:
  • Walk in or make an appointment through the Vaccine Connector.

  • Use the state’s Vaccine Locator Map to find a vaccine provider near you.

BPA:  Friendly reminder, all fees need to be paid and events chosen by
October 26.  See Mrs. Lindblom or Mr. Head with any questions.
Titans - Dollars-for-Scholars:  With so many trying to access the Dollars-for-Scholars (DfS) website at the same time by grade level, at times it has still overwhelmed the DfS website; thus as a student, please log on at a time that works best for you in the morning, the afternoon or evening.  If you need assistance in the DfS online student profile, please connect with your GLA Advisor as s/he has access to the Google Slides that walks one through the set-up process.
The Student Council will be selling a Boo for your Boo on Monday and Tuesday of this week and Monday and Tuesday of next week. For $2 you can buy a decorative bag of candy for your boo (or for yourself) to be delivered on Friday, October 29th. Look for the table at lunch!
School Datebooks Student Planners:  Our 2nd order of student planners are onsite.  Those Titans who may need to leave a classroom for a restroom break, to fill a water bottle, to see a teacher for assistance or homework help, etc., which frankly is every Titan, stop into the HS Office to buy your $5 student planner.  Faculty, a Titan at this point w/out a student planner, is a Titan who is to remain in your classroom & s/he can take care of what was needed during 1 or our 8 passing times, before or after school, or during his/her lunch session.  Thank you.  Mr. Fitterer

Attention all Titans! The school store will be open on Mondays during all 3 lunch hours. Come stop by and check out the new products!

TCU Student Council will be hosting a blood drive Friday, October 29th. Sixteen-year-olds (with parent permission) and older can donate. Blood supplies are really low around the country, so please consider donating. Student Council members will be going around during lunches to get people signed up electronically.

TCU HS Extended Day:  Need to make up a HS credit in Social Studies, English Language Arts, or Math?  Stop in to see your school counselor to discuss & pick up an application for Extended Day.  Ext Day will run on Mondays & Wednesdays after school from 3 to 4pm in B100 (Mrs. Veazie's classroom) with Mrs. Alberg as the teacher.  A student needs to put in 17 "seat time" hours & complete a hard copy packet for each one of those hours (17 total packets) to earn the 1 credit for that course.  A completed packet at a quality level is your "ticket" through the door each session.  No completed packet, no entry.  This is an excellent opportunity to work your way back to getting "on track" for graduation.

Juniors:  You can apply to take part in the unique opportunity to be a HS Page in the MN House of Representatives in St. Paul.  Mr. Mikel & Mrs. Veazie have been given information on this program & wonderful learning experience.  See one of them for the info pamphlet & the application.   Deadline to apply is:  November 23rd.
