New General Announcements       
 
BPA:  Reminder that September 25 at 5:00 is the registration and event review meeting. Anyone wanting to join BPA for the 2019-2020 year, please attend the meeting. It will be located in Room G103. If you can not attend and want to join, please see Mrs. Lindblom or Mr. Head.  
 
Dear sophomores, If you were unable to attend the FFA informational meeting and would like more information, please see Mrs Sowieja or Mr. Schmidt.
 
Any Senior considering attending St. John's University or the College of St Benedict should see Mr. Doyle for a guaranteed ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR scholarship.  
 
PCA speaker will be here in school to speak to our student leaders this Friday.  The meeting will be 12:05 to 1:05.  All students participating will eat their normal Lunch (exception would be if they have C lunch they will need to eat A or B Lunch) and then move to the flex room for the remainder of 5th hour and Advisory.    
 
The following reps will be in the commons during lunch this week. Interested students should stop by to get more information:  Hamline; Thursday - Army.
 
Students - We will start monitoring tardies this week.  If you are late for a class, please bring a pass so your teacher can excuse you.   Once you accumulate 3 unexcused tardies, you will be assigned 1/2 hour of after school time to make up.   This may also affect your eligibility for activities and other school events. Thank you for getting to class on time!
 
Our first official Yearbook meeting will be today 9/19/19 during Titan Time.  We will be choosing the theme and title for the book, so any and all are welcome to share their input.  Please sign up on the Titan Time Scheduler for Digital Book Publishing if interested!

The Homecoming Committee is looking for parents/grandparents/community members with convertibles that would like to volunteer to be a part of the homecoming parade. See Ms. Winters if you know someone who may be interested.  
 
Belle Plaine Lutheran Home is hiring nursing assistants, direct support professionals, and food service workers. If interested contact Kayla Jones, kcjones@thha.org for more information.  
 
Need a semi formal dress for Homecoming, Snowball or Prom? Visit Becca's Closet closeout event on 9.21.19 from 10 AM - noon at St. John's Lutheran Church in Montgomery. More information will be in the high school office.     
 
Titans:  Annually for the past 25 years, Prudential has recognized teens in middle schools & high schools for their giving of their time through volunteer service activities.  If you have taken part in a service activity over the past year (from September 1, 2018 through now), you qualify for this award and honor.  The deadline to give me, your certifier (your principal), your "certification" page (either by email or by printing off a hard copy) is November 5th.  If you have given your time, please apply with the chance to be recognized for your efforts!  A hard copy of the information can be picked up in the HS Office.  
 
The MN Department of Human Services has launched  the Crisis Text Line.  The Crisis Text Line offers text-based suicide prevention services across Minnesota.  People who text MN to 741741 will be connected with a counselor who will help defuse the crisis and connect the texter to local resources.  This line is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Flyers have been hung throughout the school.
