Please make sure that your child is wearing weather appropriate clothing. We go out for recess every day. The only exceptions to this is when it is raining or below 0 degrees.
TCU-Le Center will be accepting applications for additional students to join our middle school AVID program for 2nd semester.
AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. It is designed to ensure all students, especially those who are in the academic middle to:
* Succeed in rigorous curriculum
* Complete a college preparatory path
* Enroll in college
* Become educated leaders in their communities and our society
Applications are located outside the office. Please have them completed and returned to the main office by Tuesday, January 22nd. Feel free to contact Ms. McKissick, AVID counselor, with any questions.
Spelling Bee: Good luck to the following students who will be representing TCU Le Center 5th - 8th Grades in the spelling bee this afternoon: Abram Chimal, Claire Kubes, Eugene Castro, Gavin Jensen, Hannah Lange, John Kubes, Kaytlyn Miller-Gill, Morgan Fredrickson, Natalie Lundahl, and Xiani Medina. The spelling bee will be held at the TCU Montgomery Middle School Auditorium at 1:00 p.m.

Please check the cubbies in the commons area for items that may belong to you or your students. All items will be donated to the thrift store if not claimed.
Current 8th Graders will have the opportunity to meet with High School Counselors and Elective Class Teachers to learn about the classes available to them next year as 9th Graders. The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, February 5th, 2:25 p.m. - High School Counselors will introduce the registration
process and required classes, and will provide registration materials for the students to
take home and look through.
Thursday, February 7th, 2:15 p.m. - High School Elective Class Teachers will present the
elective options available to the students during their High School journey.
Wednesday, February 20th, 2:25 p.m. - High School Counselors return to assist the
students in the registration process. Any forms that parents/guardians need to sign are
due this day.
Attention all softball players: Register now for Gustavus Adolphus Skills Camp taking place in the Le Center gyms on January 20, 27 and February 10 and 17. Cost is 50$. grade 2-6 hitting/fielding from 1230-2 and Pitching & catching from 2-3:30; grade 7-12 Pitching and catching from 12:30-2 and hitting/fielding from 2-3:30. 7th & 8th Grade Snow Week Dance: Friday Feb.1st, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Le Center MS Gym. Admission: $5. Optional Formal Dress.
Talent Show: February 8th, 1:30 p.m. Pick up Registration Forms at the display by Patti’s window.
The art room is in need of gallon ice cream bucket sized circle lids. We are using them as looms for our weavings. If you finish off a pail of ice cream and could save us the lid my weavers would really appreciate it!

Dance Extravaganza - Age 4 - Grade 6
Come dance with the TCU Black Diamonds Dance Team. Students will attend a dance clinic where they will learn a couple dances and then perform them at the Extravaganza Show! Cost includes a t-shirt. More info available online. Sign up today!
