Tips for Helping Your Child Cope The National Association of School Psychologists has provided parent resources for helping children cope with changes resulting from COVID-19. The following tips can help.

Internet Access Information We are continuing to work through each and every individual situation to help families with internet access. We have distributed every hotspot that we have available and are now working to set up internet connections and availabilty with providers.

We have external internet access in the parking lot areas of TCU Le Center, TCU High School, and TCU Lonsdale. These can be used for students or families to come and download teacher created instructional videos or upload student assignments.

Here is a link to more detailed information on Internet Service Providers. Please know that Providers may have made changes to their plans and costs since this was created early this week.

Childcare: As per the Executive Order, we have been providing childcare for healthcare/emergency personnel, TCU staff when needing to report, and continued for those who were already registered in TCU Kidzone/WRAP.

The state has expanded the list of Tier I emergency workers Care for Children of Families Working in Critical Sectors If your role now fits within the Tier I status, and you have not completed the parent survey indicating a need for childcare, please do so as soon as possible for our planning. If you did complete the survey but now qualify, please email Layne Wilbright, Community Education Director at lwilbright@tcu2905.us. ;

Communication with TCU Offices and Staff: TCU will also be adjusting some of our staff to the “Stay Home” order based upon the Executive Order for school district responsibilities. This will include our School and District Office Staff. The best way to communicate with any of our TCU staff is through email. Contact information can be found on our TCU Website Staff Directory

Phone communication will also be available but in a different manner. For now, please leave a voicemail message on the office phone and our Administrative Assistants will check for messages several times a day. They will share your message with the necessary staff members or call you back. Please NOTE: when they call you back, it may show up as a restricted number so please realize if that shows up, it could be the school.
