Hello!  My name is Kami Wondra, and this is my first year as the 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts teacher here at TCU, Le Center.  I am very happy to be a part of this wonderful community, and I am eager to teach my students each and every day!  I am a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, where I received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and 5-8 Language Arts Communications, as well as a Master's degree in Educational Leadership.  So far in my career, I have been a preschool teacher in St. Peter, MN; a K-6 technology teacher in Le Sueur, MN; a 3rd grade elementary teacher in Belle Plaine, MN; and a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher in Belle Plaine, MN.  I have also coached both boys and girls basketball at the elementary and junior high levels in Le Sueur and Belle Plaine.  Helping shape and positively influence today's youth is a passion of mine.  After all, it is today's boys and girls who will quickly become our future workforce, caregivers, and parents of more children to come!  I strive each and every day to make a mark on every one of my students in a way that brings them confidence and drive to be the very best they can be as they travel down their journey of life.

Aside from teaching, I am also a mother to my three energetic sons who make me giggle every day.  We live in rural Le Center with my husband, Mike, who also makes me giggle every day!  Mike is the proud owner of Wondra Automotive, which is the local Le Center Napa Auto Parts store, and it is often there that he teaches our kids how to fix up tractors and air up tires that are low.  They just love it!  In our free time, we like going on outdoor adventures (outside play is the BEST), spending time with extended family and friends, and swimming together.  As for me, I enjoy photography, rollerblading, and spending time with Willow, my golden lab.

If there is one certain thing I would want you to know about me as a teacher, it is this:  The day that I had my first son was the day that my mind expanded tremendously. I immediately learned just how much love and concern a parent has for his/her child.  On this day, I realized just how important my role is in your child's life.  Because of this, I strive to be every bit as good of a teacher and role model as I need my own kids to have.  In order to do this, it is extremely important that I communicate clearly and consistently with my students' parents/caretakers.  It is so important that we are all a team in this together, as we cheer on our students through the school year.  With that being said, please contact me at any time, and I will be sure to get back to you in a timely manner.  Thank you, and GO TITANS!
