Tri-City United Schools understand there are many questions regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are monitoring the situation closely and watching for any update in guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), local health agencies or the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Under the guidance of the MDH, we are recommending the following simple, everyday habits to help prevent the spread of illness throughout our school communities:

  • As always, staff and students should stay home if they are feeling ill, have a fever of 100 degrees or more, or are exhibiting flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Use your own water bottle - do not share.
  • Cover a cough. Cough or sneeze into an elbow or use a tissue and place immediately in the trash.

If your role now fits within the Tier I status, and you have not completed the parent survey indicating a need for childcare, please do so as soon as possible for our planning. If you did complete the survey but now qualify, please email Layne Wilbright, Community Education Director at .
