Attendance Policies for Distance Learning
Kindergarten - 6th Grade Policy K-6 teachers will be looking for daily activity (not task completion or correctness) through the use of Seesaw, Google Classroom, e-mail, or other modes of communication. This activity may happen live, or at another time of day, including evenings. In some circumstances, their attendance by watching recorded lessons and communicating with their teacher might occur on another day such as the weekend. Students are encouraged to be live with their teachers if they are able, but this is not mandatory. If your child is sick, please call the school as you would usually to report your child absent. Similarly to a typical school day, your child's teacher(s) will assist with catching up with missed work due to illness. Students will complete a daily Google Form indicating their attendance. Parents and students will receive a notification if a child is marked as absent for a day. Teachers are tracking participation and engagement in a variety of ways.
